Team Entry Instructions

Guidelines for Relay Competition

Each relay team can have up to four (4) members. There are six categories for competing as a team:

• Male - minimum of 2 members
• Female - minimum of 2 members
• Coed - minimum of 2 members, at least 1 male and 1 female

Corporate Division Presented by the Downtown Council

• Corporate Male - minimum of 2 members
• Corporate Female - minimum of 2 members
• Corporate Coed - minimum of 2 members, at least 1 male and 1 female

Relay Leg Distances

#1 - 6.7 miles

#2 - 7.0 miles

#3 - 7.0 miles

#4 - 5.5 miles

Transition #1 - 47th & JC Nichols Parkway.

Transition #2 - Country Club Christian Church on Ward Parkway

Transition #3 - Emmanuel Clever Blvd   & Harrision St.

Registration Dates & Entry Fees

$30 per team member through May 15

$35 per team member through July 15

$45 per team member through October 6

$50 per team member late registration through October 19 at 9pm

Transportation

Due to the growth of the relay teams from last year there is no need to arrange for, schedule or reserve transportation on the buses. 

We provide transportation to each of the exchange areas, but NOT from one exchange point to the next.

Buses will be parked in front of the Westin Crown Center Hotel on the north side of Pershing adjacent to Washington Park. They will be marked for each of the 3 exchange areas. Buses will leave the start area at 7 a.m.

We take those running the second leg to the 1st  exchange point and then later return the first leg runners back to start/finish area.  Other buses take those running the third leg to the 2nd exchange point and then later return the second leg runners back to the start/finish area.  The same goes for the fourth leg runners. Buses will stay at transition area and will begin returning when full.  Buses will make multiple trips.

The relay shuttles are optional but we recommend all relay teams utilize the shuttle system due to traffic issues on race day. Click here for more shuttle details.

**NEW** Finish Line Procedures 

Relay members who are not running the final leg and crossing the finish line will be instructed to enter the food line from the EXIT. In other words, go around the finish line to the end of the chute and a volunteer will let you in from the back side. Show your blue relay member bib number and you will be given a bag for food by the volunteer. DO NOT cross the finish line and enter the chute from the course side.  Thanks for your cooperation!

How to Register a Relay Team

Only after the Team Captain has registered themself and created the team name online can other members complete the online registration.

1. Team members must designate a Team Captain. 
2. The Captain will first register him/herself online.
3. The Captain will then Create a Team online by registering the Team Name and recording the assigned Team Number.
4. The Captain also establishes a Username and Password for access to the Team's fundraising web page (created automatically with registration).
5. The Team Captain can now distribute the Team Name and Team Number to all other team members so that they may register online and join the team.
